6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., M-F, with requirement of a willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

$14.00 - $15.90 per hour

Educación
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

This is a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) safety-sensitive position under the Department of Transportation (DOT) CMV Drug-Free Workplace Act. And is subject to post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, periodic, and pre-employment alcohol/controlled substance testing.  For additional information about safety sensitive drug testing, see OUC’s alcohol/substance abuse policy, which is intended to comply with the DOT Drug-Free Workplace Act.

Requisitos
Minimum of one (1) year of water distribution or related experience. Must be able to obtain a Class A Florida Commercial Drivers License within 90 days of employment. Must be physically coordinated and demonstrate ability to perform strenuous manual labor, etc. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Basic Job Duties
Safely perform manual labor as related to pipe laying, water service, fire hydrant installation, and water meter sets/exchanges. Drive ½ and ¾ ton pick up trucks, 56000 GVW dump truck, 24500/28000 GVW crew & 52120 GVW low boy tractor-trailers. Train in operation of heavy equipment such as front end loaders, backhoes and forklifts. Perform small diameter size wet and dry taps for service connection. Set up push rod machine for installing pipe under paved road. Train in testing and repair of all sizes of meters. Perform other duties as circumstances dictate.
