OUC Expands Its Online Horizons
OUConvenient Billing Makes Account Management Easy

ORLANDO (June 12, 2002) – OUC has introduced OUConvenient Billing, an easy way for people to access their OUC account information, right from their personal computers.

At www.ouc.com, users can view their detailed account history and current bill whenever they want, over a secure Internet system. Then, when they’re ready to pay their bill, they can choose from OUC’s variety of payment options.

“OUConvenient Billing is an easy-to-use, helpful tool for people who like to manage their bills on the Web,” said Bob Haven, OUC’s general manager and CEO. “We’re pleased to offer another convenient online service to our customers.”

In combination with Rely-A-Pay (OUC’s automatic-withdrawal payment plan), OUConvenient Billing provides customers with a paperless, cost-free and worry-free account management tool. If they like, customers can always pay the traditional way (by mail), drop payments off at OUC’s customer service centers or make payments at www.ouc.com through independent processor SpeedPay (which charges a convenience fee).

At OUC’s Web site, customers can also:

  • Turn on, transfer and turn off utility service
  • Conduct a free online home energy audit
  • Check OUC job listings
  • Learn more about money-saving, innovative programs like OUConsumption Online (energy load monitoring for large commercial users), OUCooling (chilled water service for commercial A/C systems) and OUConvenient Lighting (full-service lighting installation and maintenance)
  • Get the latest OUC news and information

OUC—The Reliable One lives up to its name by providing the best record of electric reliability in the state of Florida and delivering high-quality, great-tasting drinking water to its customers. The municipal utility provides electric and water services to more than 190,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties.
