OUC Launches Enhanced Web Site
New features, more intuitive design will benefit users
ORLANDO
– As part of an ongoing commitment to superior customer service,
OUC—The Reliable One has gone live with improvements and a new look to its Web site,
www.ouc.com.
A series of changes have been implemented to improve the customer's online experience while offering a cleaner, more streamlined layout. Additions/changes to the redeveloped site include:
- Enhanced Online Home Energy Audit: This service lets residential electric users
— OUC customers and others — review their annual, seasonal and daily costs for cooling, heating, lighting and other household appliances. The audit uses consumption history, along with other household information, to generate a detailed usage report as well as customized tips for saving energy.
- The OUC Knowledge Center: OUC has implemented this online feature to keep customers better informed about such important issues as conservation and storm safety. This section of the site offers tips and information on water and energy conservation, storm preparation and safety, hurricane tracking and educational tips for kids.
- A New Navigation System: Multiple menus and improved organization allow Web surfers to access nearly any major page on the OUC site with a single click from any other page.
- Improved Security: To better protect customer data sent via the Web, OUC has improved security to many vital areas of the new site. The data handled by these forms, including many service request forms, is now further encrypted to ensure privacy and information security.
At www.ouc.com, users can also sign up for utility service, view their OUC account history and current bill, pay their bill and sign up for a number of convenient programs, like Rely-A-Pay, OUC's automatic-withdrawal plan.
OUC—The Reliable One lives up to its name by providing the best record of electric reliability in the state of Florida and delivering high-quality, great-tasting drinking water to its customers. Established in 1923 and owned by the citizens of Orlando, OUC is the second-largest municipal utility in Florida. OUC serves more than 190,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties.
