Mayor Goes Looking For Trouble with OUC ORLANDO
–
To see firsthand what makes OUC The Reliable One, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer went to work Thursday morning, September 18, with an OUC "trouble truck."
The mayor worked alongside OUC electric troubleman Robert Coffie to perform maintenance on switchgear, replace a fuse and handle other duties. Mayor Dyer is a member of OUC's five-member governing board. To provide rapid response to customer calls, OUC operates "trouble trucks" around the clock in its Orlando and St. Cloud service areas. Each truck responds to between 30 and 50 calls a day. OUC—The Reliable One lives up to its name by providing the best record of electric reliability in the state of Florida and delivering high-quality, great-tasting drinking water to its customers. Established in 1923 and owned by the citizens of Orlando, OUC is the second-largest municipal utility in Florida. OUC serves more than 190,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. |
