OUC ESTABLISHES MEDIA HOTLINE
 

ORLANDO - OUC—The Reliable One has initiated a new procedure to provide members of the media with direct access to the Communications staff. Media are asked to address all calls to a new hotline number: 407.236.9655.

Please update all phone list entries for reporters, assignment editors and producers to make this number the primary entry. Previous contact numbers for OUC Communications staff may no longer be active.

After hours and on weekends, calls will be forwarded automatically to a Communications staff member. With the approach of hurricane season, OUC hopes this designated line will help facilitate media requests and enable the Communications staff to respond quickly and efficiently to those inquiries.

Established in 1923 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, OUC-The Reliable One is an independent utility owned by the citizens of Orlando. The second largest municipal utility in Florida, OUC provides electric and water services to more than 190,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties.
