LONNIE BELL ELECTED PRESIDENT DEL CONSEJO DIRECTIVO DE OUC
Bell Respected for Longstanding
Commitment to Community Service
ORLANDO - Lonnie C. Bell was elected president of OUC's
governing board Tuesday. He succeeds Tommy Boroughs, who remains on the OUC
board as immediate past president.

"It is a privilege to serve on this board and be elected its
president," said Bell, who joined OUC in April 2002. "I promise to serve our
customers, the citizens who own us, effectively and responsibly.”
Bell is a former executive board member and past chairman of the Orlando
Regional Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the boards of the Preserve
Eatonville Community , Orlando/Orange County COMPACT and Red Cross of Central
Florida. Es graduado de Leadership Orlando y Leadership Florida.
Bell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Central State
University in Ohio and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, Orlando branch. He
recently retired from Agere Systems.
“Lonnie Bell is an incredible community leader with a longstanding history of
outstanding service to Central Florida,” said OUC General Manager and CEO Ken
Ksionek. “We’re glad to have him on the board and look forward to his tenure as
president."
In its annual election of officers, OUC's governing board also named Katie Porta
first vice president
and Tico Perez second vice president.
