TO ASSIST WITH POWER RESTORATION
Crews to Help New Smyrna Beach Following Central Florida Storms
ORLANDO –
OUC-The
Reliable One sent crews to assist with power restoration in New
Smyrna Beach this morning following the powerful storms that ripped through
Central Florida early Friday.
The assistance team will
include about 15 OUC employees and several bucket trucks. OUC is responding
to a call for assistance from The Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna
Beach, a public power utility serving more than 24,000 electric customers.
"Fortunately, OUC was spared by the storms this
morning, leaving us in position to help fellow public power utilities in
need," said Ken Ksionek, OUC General Manager and CEO. "OUC's crews will work
as quickly and safely as possible to help return service to those affected
in New Smyrna Beach."
