ORLANDO - Luz Aviles, Vice President of Customer Service, has been named to the Prospera Statewide Board of Directors. Prospera is the state’s leading nonprofit economic development organization specializing in providing bilingual assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs. Aviles will serve on the Board for three years.
Aviles has served as Vice President of Customer Service since 2017. Over the past 24 years, she has held several leadership positions at OUC. In her current role, Aviles is responsible for providing strategic direction related to customer service and conservation for residential and commercial customers. She also leads corporate sustainability efforts for the organization.

Aviles has served on other boards throughout Central Florida, including the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando, Florida Solar Energy Center Advisory Board, Prospera Technical Advisory Committee, and the Orange County Sustainability Advisory Board. Also, she frequently represents the Commission at community events and conferences.
Aviles holds a Master of Business Administration from the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Central Florida.
