ORLANDO - For the second year in a row, OUC—The Reliable One has been named one of the 2019 Best Workplaces for Commuters for offering employees exceptional commuter benefits. This honor is reserved for only 300 companies in the nation each year.
Since 2014, OUC has offered a variety of incentives to employees who use public transportation. The OUCommute program, in cooperation with reThink Your Commute, offers a 25% rebate to those who use alternative transportation options like Lynx rideshare, Lynx busses, and the Sunrail. To date, OUCommute has subsidized more than $12,000 of employee transportation costs.
OUC has also partnered with the I-4 Ultimate Project to hold various sessions around the Commission to keep employees informed on how the construction affects their commute.
“OUC is one of the top employers in the nation offering high level commuter benefits to their employees,” said Julie Bond, Program Manager, Best Workplaces for Commuters. “OUC made the list because it significantly incentivizes employees for making sustainable transportation choices. OUC gives its employees the support they need to get to and from work and be at their best before, during, and after their work day.”
