Before You Get Started

  1. Measure and record your current R-value. Learn more on energystar.gov.
  2. Determine how much insulation is needed.
  3. Determine what type of insulation to purchase.
  4. A Final value of R-30 or greater is required for insulation level, the minimum to be eligible to receive this rebate.

Submitting Your Rebate Application

Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:

  1. An invoice/receipt that includes the existing R-value, Final R-value, total square footage installed, and type of insulation installed.
  2. For DIY projects:
    • A copy of the receipt indicating the type and quantity of insulation purchased. A copy of the coverage chart for the specific type of installed insulation must be provided.
Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: An invoice that includes the existing R-value, Final R-value, total square footage installed and the type of insulation installed. All receipts/invoices must be dated and submitted within six (6) months of the date of purchase.

Eligibility: Homes/businesses with an existing R-value of 19 or greater are not eligible for this rebate. Final insulation level must be R-30 or higher.

Reimbursement: Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.

Exemptions: Rebate is only available for existing insulation of R-19 or less. Does not apply to unconditioned spaces like garages.
