  2. Recognize that while many homeowners can tackle basic duct sealing, some situations may require professional assistance, such as hard-to-reach areas, extensive damage or lack of proper tools and equipment.

Submitting Your Rebate Application

Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:

  1. For repairs: Invoice must have a separately itemized amount for each system repair and must reflect the method of repair used.
  2. For replacement: Invoice must have a separately itemized amount for the new duct system and include the type of system installed and how it was sealed.
Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: Ducts must be sealed with mastic or mastic with embedded Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved duct tape on all accessible boots, joints and seams of the Air Duct System (ADS) in both the attic and in any accessible air handler closet. Any penetration of the ADS through the ceiling must be enclosed with a proper draft stop seal. All receipts/invoices must be dated and submitted within six (6) months of the date of purchase.

Eligibility: Rebate is applicable to both residential and business OUC electric customers.

Reimbursement: Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.

Exemptions: Not available for OUC water-only customers.
