  3. Choose a solar thermal water heater that is certified by the FSEC Energy Research Center or Solar Rating & Certification Corporation™ (SRCC).
  4. Consult with a professional to assist with installation.

Submitting Your Rebate Application

Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:

  1. Submit a copy of the contractor’s invoice, which must list the system’s model number. 
  2. Submit a copy of the system’s FSEC Energy Research Center or Solar Rating & Certification Corporation™ (SRCC) certification sheet. 
Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: All receipts/invoices must be dated and submitted within six (6) months of the date of purchase.

Eligibility: Available to OUC electric customers.

Reimbursement: Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill. FSEC Energy Research Center or Solar Rating & Certification Corporation™ (SRCC) certified solar thermal water heaters can earn back up to 100% of the cost for installing a solar thermal water heating system, not exceeding $900.

Exemptions: Not available for OUC water-only customers. Pool heating systems are not eligible.
