10 de octubre de 2024

Español

ORLANDO, Fla. – As of 7:30 p.m., Thursday (10/10), OUC has restored service to 45% of customers who lost power due to Hurricane Milton. Currently, there are 43,828 customers in Orlando and 7,030 in St. Cloud who remain without power.

OUC safety assessors and crews remain in the field to survey the storm’s impact and make repairs. Estimated times of restoration will not be available for at least another 24-36 hours

Contacting OUC To Report Outages

Customers can report outages by texting OUT to 69682, calling 407-423-9018, or via email using customerservice@ouc.com. As a reminder, you only need to report your outage once.

Nonfunctioning Traffic Lights

We have heard reports of nonfunctioning traffic lights and ask all motorists to use caution and treat these intersections as four-way stops.

Critical customers such as hospitals, wastewater plants, fire, police stations and other emergency locations will be first priority. To learn how OUC restores power, please use this video: How does OUC Restore Power? (youtube.com)

Safety Tips

OUC also advises customers to continue to practice safety protocols after the storm:

  • If high water threatens your home turn off your power at the circuit breaker panel or fuse box.

  • Exercise safety outside and be wary of downed lines. Power lines still could be energized and hidden in debris.

  • Avoid pooled water and flooded streets. Downed wires and electrical equipment, such as a pad mounted transformer, could be hidden and still energized.

We thank our customers in advance for their patience and urge them to stay safe.

OUC.com/stormcenter will regularly be updated with latest information and includes safety tips. The outage map is available, but restoration times will not be added until after restoration begins. We will continue to send media advisories twice daily – one in the morning and one in the evening.
